Mitt Romney the front-runner for the GOP in 2012? Really?
Well, he signed off on the universal health-care bill in Massachusetts as governor, and he has some issues with the flipping and the flopping on abortion and stuff. Oh and if he hasn't worried the evangelical portion of the party with that, just remember, he's a mormon, not that I think it's any worse than other ones.Just seems like a pretty weak candidate, but compared to Palin or the guy from Avatar(Bobby Jindal) there isn't much to choose from. His platform would be all about how he saved the Olympics in Salt Lake City, and how the liberals in the MA House made him do all of those horrible things, obviously mixed with the generics(pro-middle class, cut taxes, fiscally responsible, ad nauseum) they'll promise but never follow. Who says what?
- Danny Davidson agrees that the GOP should change their name to the Game Over Party. Polarization is a killer.
@rrosskopf
Yeah he wouldn't have doubled it, he would've maintained the out-of-control spending on the status quo that doesn't equate to anything but wasted money and time. And yes, I know your only concern is money, you're a conservative.
Did the Chinese tell us what the ceiling was in order to own us? And why was the gargantuan amount owed acceptable before Obama was elected?
-Very insightful Tom The Plumber. You banged your head on a lot of pipes as an apprentice, I'm sure.

Pytanie #13:
Why do first world countries celebrate during the cup and third world countries dream during the tournament?
People historically have come together during international competitions for a variety of reasons, but what has evolved over time are the reasons as to why civilizations across the world gather during these competitions. The olympics trace back to 776 BC in Greece and were used to settle conflicts between Greek Acropolis' in a peaceful manner. As time passed, the Romans under pressure of a growing public unrest and high rates of crimes and civil disobedience were forced to find a solution that would appease the public and calm civil disorder. The answer--sports, and so they built the Roman coliseum and presented the gladiator games. The gladiator games entertained the public, lowered crime, and distracted the public from committing acts of civil disorder. So what does that have to do with today? On June 27th, Mexicans all gathered around their TV sets to watch the World Cup game between Spain vs. Germany. If you notice something about first world countries, most gather with friends and/or family to watch the games and use the world cup games as a means to socialize. Whether you are in the U.S., England,Germany, Netherlands, and the list goes on, most people in first world countries gather in bars or at home with friends and family to establish a sort of camaraderie and to socialize among themselves. This camaraderie and socialization is caused by one's nationalist sentiment. But the need among third world countries for these events represent something different. Take for example in Mexico, yes we all gather together in our pride and nationalist sentiment for our country, but the day Mexico faced France something magical happened in Mexico. After Mexico stunned France 2-0, reports of violent crime across Mexico fell to it's lowest level in over 20 years. People all across the nation were so distracted by the victory of Mexico over France that most forgot about the turmoils of reality and chose to unite in celebration. Even in cities such as Tijuana and Juarez, people ran out onto the streets to celebrate and not a single gunshot was heard, not a single gun battle between drug traffickers and military police occurred, and the fewest calls of crime occurred. Moral of the story is that in Mexico the world cup is needed because it gives us one day, just one day, to distract ourselves from the turmoils of reality whether it be poverty, drug trafficking, abductions, and etc. For third world countries and Mexico in particular, the world cup gives people, including crime syndicates, a chance to set down everything and unite together as one people hoping for better days and distracting itself from the present to unite in hope for a better future. Through the victory of the seleccion Mexicana that day against France, all Mexicans united to vicariously live on through El Tri and hope that their victory would be symbolic of a better future ahead for Mexico, not just on the field of a stadium, but on the streets of Mexico as well. My hope is that one day this dream comes into fruition.
Don't read the whole thing. Just read the second paragraph.

Since white Americans and western Europeans are not even producing HW boxers no more for the last 40 years (i will not include Germans cause all their boxers are Armenian,Polish,Hungarian etc immigrants really) the champions would have been:David Haye , Calvin Brock , Sam Peter , Chris Byrd , Eddie Chambers etc and no (racist Afro centrist) American fan would wonder now what if their "big" guys go to other sports, like they never wondered that thing, when a lil tiny man named Tyson who was standing at 5'11 tall and 215 lbs could beat an NFL or NBA player right?
Communism would still keep Vitali,Wladimir,Chagaev,Povetkins ,Ibragimovs ,Adameks and tons of others DOMINANT Olympic champions and rulers of the amateur boxing for over 50-60 years now, out of the (professional) game and some people would still believe their illusions and fake reality,of how a 5'11 and 215 lbs man (who got KO'd like a mosquito by a Czechoslovakian boxer in Youth Olympics) was the toughest man alive!
It's pure mathematics really :)
Please wonder and ask yourselves, who would have been the champions if we exclude all the ex communists???When you answer this question then you got the truth :)
To the first answerer.........ummmmm i would never debate with someone so weak looking in real life,so i won't do so in here as well, it would not be manly or brave of me to fight or debate with someone so weak and small looking,so like i said believe you illusions(i fear you?lol) and we will be ok!

And I laugh when people say 'dont base crosby on the bad series against montreal' .okayy.. dont base crosby on that ONE goal in the gold medal game. Base crosby on the finals last year when pittsburgh won the cup, he was INVINCIBLE...He was INVINCIBLE in the Olympics...he was INVINCIBLE in the series against Montreal, hence why they did not get through!!! Then people go on to say 'it's a team game it's not Crosby's fault Pittsburgh lost to Montreal.' Do you believe in some ways Wade, Bosh, and Lebron planned to play together from 08 Olympics?
I still believe Lebron would have been a Cav if he felt that he could have won 3-4 rings there. Click HereTo keep the person anonymous, someone commented one day and said the rider in the video was terrible- i just wanted some other opinions, because my trainers think that with practice, I can be olympic material. ANYWHO, a few things you have to know:
if you dont fully keep his focus, he takes his bit and runs, especially at jumps. if you see me speed up and get rougher in my hands, believe me, he needs it. sorry if you guys dont like it, but he does.
If you see me lean forwards, it's a bad habit. Im nervous on him. As I said, he bolts. The 3rd time I rode him after buying him, he bolted, tripped and fell, which terrifies me when I think of it, so that, along with a few other things, is why I do that. Compared to last month, i've come a long way. You all know how long it takes to break a habit.
And age matters- so, I'm 14 and have owned him for 6 months, and only see him MAYBE each week for a few days. if i'm lucky. he's in training, 2 hours away.
I understand that 210%. my instructor tells me that i'm trying to protect myself but its putting me in more danger, which makes complete sense. Ive definitely improved, though.
We lunge him for 20 minutes at the least before we ride him. the day the video was taken he didnt get lunged for long because I ran out of time and had to get my other horse ready for a lesson.

What are my chances to get into UC Berkeley?
I just completed my junior year. I'm starting to prepare to apply to colleges, and Cal is my top choice. What do you think are my chances to get in?This is my resume so far:
Overall Weakness: Gpa and SAT
Overall Strength: Have a really good subject for my essay, and I have excellent EC's.
GPA: 3.9 UC, 4.2 School weighted (which means I took certain honor classes that my school offered which do not count in the UC system). Class rank: 18/250. Top 10%.
SAT 1's: 2040 (going to take it again and hopefully best this score)
SAT 2's: 800 French SAT, 630 Math II. Retaking Math II subject test this fall, and also taking the Spanish subject test.
ACT: 29 but i dont care about that i'm going to be using my SATs.
Classes (including senior year): I have a fairly rigorous schedule. 8 honors courses (none of them UC approved, except for precalc) and 4 APs. My GPA is this low because i took so many honors that were like AP courses for which i didnt receive the extra grade point. Got a 5 on my AP french test, and a 3 on Environmental Science. It should also be noted that I was in a special academy, called Media Academy, which is unique to our school. In this special program, we produce movies and newscasts instead of the regular curriculum. It should also be noted that while in this class, I directed a movie that was one of the 2 movies that received 100% from our teacher in the 8 years of this program's existence.
In addition, I will be taking 7 classes my senior year. This will hopefully show berkeley that im not lazy lol.
EC's: Sports: 10 years of competitive swimming at a local swim club every summer, outside of school. In school sports, 4 years Varsity swimmer, 4 years Varsity waterpolo player. Swam every year for 6 years in the RCP tiburon mile. I won many awards in my local club, including the award for the most inspirational swimmer for 2 years in a row (having been the only one to do so in the 30 years of its existence. olympic swimmer Ben Wildman-Tobriner received this award when he was on the club team as well) most points in my category etc... MVP for boy's swimming 2 years in a row. I was captain for both the swim team and the waterpolo team my junior and probably will be my senior year also. I also set several team records for my swim club.
Music: I have been playing piano for 10 years with a piano teacher, following the official California Music Educators Association. I am level 9, and will complete it at the end of my senior year, effectively promoting me to the advanced and last level in this program. In this program, I played concerts in front of other students, and I took a piano theory class every year, passing the yearly theory tests which honors mention.
I'm also going to be taking Jazz 1 at my school ( which has one of the most prestigious music programs in california) next year. I skipped all previous levels to reach the highest level of jazz at my school.
Languages: This is very powerful with me. I am bilingual in French, and I am an immigrant. This means that I'm a first generation college student, which will help. I attended a french school within the united states until fourth grade, then transfered to the american education system. The challenge of having to learn english to succeed in school will be a primary focus of my essay.
In high school, I also took 4 years of spanish, taking spanish AP next year. I also took French AP my junior year, which gives me an unusual 5 years of languages at the high school level. French and Spanish are the only two languages offered at my school, and I'm the first one in 50 years to have taken both. In addition, I have been taking 6 years of private weekly Latin lessons. I received department awards for both French and Spanish my junior year.
Clubs: Founder and president of the chess club. I founded the Spanish honors society at our school, and I am the president. Going to be the president of French honors society my senior year.
Community Service: Currently, I am working at the Saint Vincent de Paul society, and by the end of summer I will have accumulated 50-100 hours of service there. In addition, I have been working every year for 3 years at a French summer camp, which adds up to 100-200 hours of service. I was also part of CSF (California Scholaship Federation) which required its members to complete 5 hours of community service every semester. Overall, I have 200+ hours of community service.
Other info: California resident. Actually a local resident (bay area). I live 10 miles from Berkeley. Maybe that will help who knows lol. First generation college student. Immigrant.
The focus of my essays will be about overcoming the challenge of being an immigrant. My school is 67 percent Latino, so I will talk about how i connected with them. Founding the spanish society will reinforce this, as will my languages and community service. Basically i will talk about helping the poor and immi
oh and im a white european male

Five year professional now with undefeated 19 - 0 record, 2 and a half year mandatory challenger. If this is not a good time for him to fight for the heavyweight championship and largest pay day of his career when exactly will it be?

Why in the US there are so many lies in favor of black men when numbers and rations show us different?
2 major examples and i rest my case!A)USA media try to say how blacks dominate sports (basically meaning basketball, specific positions of the NFL and few sprints while they exclude rest 99% of sports whites dominate) when USA team in ALL SPORTS won 147 medals in Olympics of 2008 and 2010 and whites won 123 of them (85% of medals)
B)How they hype says white women marry or date black men more than white men (LOL)

So 50 million white couples (25 million white women) is less than 286,000 white woman - black man couples (143,000 white women)

Could "Asia" as a continent dominate every single division from 154lbs and under?
I mean a simple look in China,Japan,South Korea mostly but other Asian countries at the Olympics as well could convince anyone! Some Americans claim that their true Heavyweights go to American Football (like Bob Sapp i guess, the living human punching bag of K-1) but American football it is what the word says, AMERICAN,played only in America!
Now if they wanna claim basketball(1998-2002-2004-2006-this year most likely lol),Hockey, baseball or soccer, rugby etc international and world competitions of all these sports will expose them immediately i think!
Anyways back to the main topic, now Asians though DOMINATE IN WORLDWIDE level many sports that require raw athleticism , slick movement , speed , power etc
Examples?Gymnastics(them with Caucasians) , martial arts as Taekwondo , Judo , weightlifting(all the low divisions most likely) , even in Olympic boxing they do awesome in low divisions.
Also a simple look to all the non Olympic arts as Jiu Jitsu , Kung Fu , Saolin etc indicates the same thing!
Could Manny Pacquiao be JUST ONE of the tons incredible slick, fast, strong fighters Asia is hidding?I saw a live show of Saolin masters recently and to be honest Manny looked pretty normal next to these guys !Also the fact that China,Japan and both Koreas are from the richest, most advanced and powerful countries of planet, means that a lot of talent which could excel in a sport like boxing is too busy to dominate science, technology, economy, business instead ?
Just a thought!
PS
I repeat Asians dominate these sports i already mentioned IN WORLD STAGE, not in their country neither in sports that they only play :)
Ken last time checked , Judo medals in history of Olympics are won 50% by Asians and 45 % by Euros , rest of the world wins a good 5% (Cuba basically) with Americans having 10 medals in total (3 silver,7 bronze , NEVER GOLD)
